Watford, Liverpool and Chelsea are the teams yet to drop a point in the Premier League start this season having won all the first four matches respectively. But it looks like Chelsea will continue their perfect start while that of Watford and Liverpool could hit a stumbling block by the end of this weekend’s match day.
Chelsea are clear favourite as they face Cardiff at Stamford Bridge this weekend. They have managed two clean sheets in their first four.matches of the season. With the help of their talisman, Eden Hazard who seem to be in great shape for both club and country, Chelsea are expected to extend their perfect start to the season.
Liverpool travels to Wembley to face off with wounded Tottenham whose defeat to Watford last week came as a shock. Liverpool are touted to be one of the serious title contenders this season having started so strong.
Salah, Mane and Firminho are expected to gracefully lead the line of attack to face a Tottenham side who will be without Dele Alli after picking up an injury during his representation for England in an UEFA natiin League match. Although, history have shown Liverpool to be the favourite in this fixture, Tottenham will to avoid a successive defeat at this early stage of the season as they are aware of the impliction.
Surprisingly, Watford had started the season well, winning all of their four opening games, including a popular victory against Tottenham at Wembley last week. They will be facing a Man United team who is looking to bounce back and be on the track of challenging for title in Mourinho’s third season in charge of the club. The club is bewildered by a lot of controversy, including player-coach relationship which had occupied the front page of papers in the recent weeks. Mourinho has charged his players to live up to expectation. Although, he has a lot to content with as regards choice up front with Rashford and Lukaku looking to be in great shape scoring for their countries during the international break. Man United will be a very difficult game for Watford and they may just drop their first points this weekend.
In other fixtures, Arsenal travels to St. James’ Park to face Newcastle. The Magpies currently stays 18th at the bottom of the Premier League table after managing just a draw out of the first four matches of the season. But it has always been a difficult match for Arsenal who are still looking to find their feet on the ground under new manager, Unai Emery. Also Newcastle will be looking to avoid another defeat which could prove costly for them come the end of the season.
Man City will look to strengthen their defence of the title after being left behind by Liverpool and Chelsea after they recently dropped points against Wolves. They face newcomers, Fulham at the Etihad and unless the unexpected happens, City are expected to triumph, especially with the likes of Aguero charging the attack.
