The former Vice-Chancellor of the University Of Calabar, Professor Kevin Etta, has blamed indisciplined lecturers for the release of half-baked graduates in Nigeria.
He charged that the educational system needs a reform which must begin with the lecturers and their orientation. He explained at a Leader’s Of Tomorrow Program that most lecturers are too fixated on the money they can make that they focus all their energy on how to bring profits rather than how to provide adequate and quality service to students.
He has been appraised with radically transforming the educational structure in the Univesity of Calabar during his tenure as most students commend his efforts. Now, after many years in retrospect, he has charged the entire educational scene to reform all schools which should begin with Nigerian lecturers.
