Liverpool fell to 2-0 loss at the hands of Serbian team, Red Star Belgrade in a must-win fixture in the Champions League on Tuesday

Klopp is getting blamed for his team’s latest dip in form

Klopp and his Liverpool team might have brought some kind of trouble upon themselves after failing to complete a back-to-back victory over Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday evening. Liverpool needed a win to further extend its lead at the top knowing either or both PSG and Dortmund would drop points as they faced each other, but failed to take chances.

Two first half goals were enough for the Serbian as they picked up their first maximum points of the Champions League. In the other fixture, PSG held Napoli to 1-1 draw in Italy, leaving the group open to any team to progress to the next phase. Interestingly, Liverpool are now tied with Napoli at the top of the table with Six points. PSG have five points while Red Star are bottom with four points.

Mauro Icardi scored a late equalizer to deny Barcelona maximum three points

Elsewhere, Tottenham came from a goal down to beat PSV 2-1 at Wembley, keeping their hopes of qualifying to the next stage alive. Two late strikes from Harry Kane helped Tottenham overcame PSV, keeping them third on the table, three points behind Inter Milan who also fought to hold Barcelona to 1-1 draw

Also in the Champions League, Club Brugge pile more misery on Thierry Henry’s Monaco after thrashing them 4-0 in front of their home fans in France, making it zero win in first five game since the Frenchman took over
