Real Madrid are one leg into booking a place in their third consecutive Champions League final this year after beating Bayern 2-1 in the first leg of their semi final encounter in Allianz Arena.

Marcelo grabbed an equalizer for Real Madrid

Bayern knew they are in for a blow after Robben picked a serious injury was subbed off in the 8th minute of the first half, but that did not deter Bayern from grabbing the first goal via Kimmich in the 28th minute. Bayern could have extended their lead but spurned too many chances before Marcelo grabbed the equalizer for Real Madrid just a minute before half time.

Bayern continued to pushed harder in the second half but was quite unfortunate , allowing substitute Asensio scored the second goal for Real Madrid following a defensive error. Although, Bayern could have equalized but Navas made strings of saves to deny Ribery and Lewandowski.

Bayern would need to beat Real Madrid with atleast 2 goal margin or scored more if they are to deny them a third consecutive final
