American RnB legend, R. Kelly has been released from a Chicago Prison after he posted bail to the tune of $100,000 (£76,000).
According to BBC, the 52-year old was escorted from jail by his lawyer, sporting a blue coat and did not spare a word for the media personnel present.
Earlier on Monday, R. Kelly had pleaded not guilty to 10 charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse against four women. Three of the women were considered minors at the time of the incidents.
On Monday, Cook County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Sophia Ansari confirmed that R. Kelly had provided the $100,000 bail, 10% of the $1m bond set by a judge over the weekend.
The court also directed the singer to surrender his passport and not to have contact with anyone under the age of 18. His next appearance in court is scheduled for March 22nd.
