Man United are out of the Carabao Cup after losing 8-7 on penalties to Championship side, Derby County at Old Trafford. United went into the game with an unwanted news regarding Pogba and Mourinho emerging earlier in the day. Mourinho reportedly vow not to make Pogba the captain again after the player allegedly insisted on leaving the club in January.’
Mourinho dropped Pogba for the match and paid a hefty price after Frank Lampard’s Derby County gave their all to take them out of the competition. United started well as Mata put them in front with a clinical finish early in the first half. Similar to the game against Wolves at the weekend, United failed to close the game, allowing the visitors back into the game after scoring a stunning free kick.
