Ozil is once again to be blamed as Arsenal struggles continue even under new manager, Unai Emery, putting out a below par performance to lose at home to Man City in their first Premier League game this season. Raheem Sterling and Bernando Silva scored in each half to hand the defending Champions a perfect start to their new season under Pep Guardiola.
German midfielder, Mesut Ozil was a victim of racial abuse after Germany crash out of the World Cup at the group stage in Russia. A situation that forced him into announcing his retirement at the International stage. And while the player is arguably the best player in Arsenal’s current squad, it seems he is yet to overcome his frustration from World Cup’s disappointment following a very poor show against Man City.
Arsenal fans seem to have lost their cool as they blame the player for their loss to Man City. The player’s name immediately tops the Twitter search trends with fans and pundits alike highlighting the player’s poor show as the major reason why Arsenal are failing.

Graham Le Saux sat there and literally said Ozil didn’t put a shift in lmao – I’m done. How many times did he come back in defende or in midfield when he didn’t have the ball? And then try to get forward? Didn’t take long for the agenda to start again. #AFC #Arsenal

Ozil and Xhaka noticeably poor today. Ozil at least had some good moments. Lost as to what Xhaka provides – he was immobile, sloppy in possession, and seems to have terrible defensive awareness.
Approaching his third season in England. Wouldn’t be shocked to see him dropped.

Earlier in the day, Salah and Mane continue to lift Liverpool as they beat Westham 4-0 to go top of the Premier League table. The re-inforcement by the club during the summer seem to be making sense with new signing Keita involving in two of the opening goals for Liverpool. Their new World record goal keeper signing from Roma, Allison enjoyed a hitch free Premier league debut as he was forced you save just one shot from Westham.
Salah got the Merseysiders to an early lead as Mane scored a brace before substitute Sturridge scored the fourth with his first touch after coming in as a substitute.
