The Senate President yesterday has explained the reason why he did not honor the invitation by the police to talk about the Offa Robbery.

According to Bukola Saraki, he said the letter to the police on his invitation written on Tuesday was duly acknowledged. He said that a letter was written and dispatched to the police on Tuesday.

According to the Senate president through his special Adviser,, Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu.

He noted that the letter answered all the questions raised by the police in his letter, and he did not believe there was any further need for him to go to the police personally.

The Senate president on Monday stated that the invitation by the police and the Offa robbery investigations connection to him is a plot designed by the presidency and the Federal Government to force him and his associates to remain in the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.

Saraki further stated that the invitation by the police is a mere afterthought which is designed to achieve a political purpose and to compel him and his associates to continue to fraternize with the APC.

The police have not released any official statement to respond to this, but we hope they do so soon. What do you think about this development? Let’s talk.
