Out of 35 entries from diverse universities across Nigeria Chimaobi Chioma of Godfrey Okoye University emerged as the winner by a large margin. She is a 400 level student in the department of banking and finance. She is very passionate about writing. She considers herself to be a very jovial person, she says she is sometimes shy and is very much in love with perfection.
We had a quick chat with her and here is what she had to say:
a. What inspired you to participate in the competition?
What inspired me was that I really wanted to know if I was still very good at writing, so it was like a test for me kind of.
b. Did you think you were going to win?
Nobody is ever confident of winning. But I just hoped I would.
c. How did you feel when you realized you won?
How do I feel? I feel really good, it’s not easy to be compared with a lot of people and come out as the winner. It’s something to be really proud and happy about.
d. You won by a considerable margin. What do you think gave you an edge?
Well, social media.
e. Pounded yam and Efo Riro or Fried Rice and Chicken?
I don’t know what’s Efo Riro but I will say pounded yam and oha soup.

Ahhhhh fingers obviously.
