Liverpool beat Wolves 2-0 at the Molineux stadium on Friday evening courtesy of goals from Salah and Van Dijk, cementing their place at the top of the table ahead of the busy schedule during the festive period.
Each of the last four sides to top the table on Christmas Day have gone on to win the title, though Liverpool themselves were the last side to fail to do so in 2013-14.
That was Salah’s 11th goal of the season going one place above Arsenal’s striker, Aubamayang who has thus far scored 10 goals sin Premier League.
He did not only found the back of the net for Liverpool, he also provided Van Dijk with the second goal. Since the start of last season, Mohamed Salah has scored and assisted in eight different Premier League games for Liverpool – more than any other player in the division
