On Thursday, 27th December, Governor Ibikunle Amosun of ogun state kick-started his Senatorial campaign under the All Progressives Congress (APC). In a statement by the Ogun APC spokesperson, Wole Elegbede said the party members have been mobilised for the event from all the units and wards of the senatorial district.
Amosun is presently having a running battle with the national leadership of the APC revealing that his loyalty lies to only Buhari.
Meanwhile, not less than ten political parties in the state rejected the reported endorsement of the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Adekunle Akinlade by the Intra-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, in the state. It was gathered that the development came at the time when Governor Ibikunle Amosun recently met with President Muhammadu Buhari to present to him the letter of adoption from APM.
The rally was attended by members of the dissolved state executive council led by Chief Derin Adebiyi, and leaders of transport unions among others.
