Mr Gabriel Suswam Former Governor Of Benue State has been arrested again by the Department of State Service, DSS. He was arrested this time for alleged connection to the recent killings in Benue State.

The DSS arrested the former governor on a petition by a top politician which stated that the ex-governor has a connection with Akwaza; a wanted fugitive who was declared wanted by the police for allegedly killing of about 17 people in Zaki Biam, Benue State, in March last year.

The ex-governor was arrested February last year and later released but he was placed on close watch until he was invited on Tuesday and since then he has been in the DSS’s custody.

The ex-governor’s lawyer who wanted to see him yesterday (Wednesday) was denied entrance and he has not been able to see his client since he was held in custody according to reports.

The DSS claimed to have found incriminating items in the ex-governor’s house in Abuja, February last year when he was arrested. They released a statement stating that different types of Guns and ammunition were found in his cars.
