Kebbi state Governor, Atiku Bagudu on Monday approved the immediate payment of the salary of the State and Local Government workers in the state.

This was made known on Monday in a statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Abubakar Dakingari, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria in Birnin Kebbi, the state.

According to the statement, Babale Yauri said that the gesture is to enable workers to celebrate the Eid-El-Fitr in joy and happiness with their families.

The governor also wished all workers delightful celebrations.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government has declared Friday, June 15 and Monday, June 18 as Public Holidays to celebrate the 2018 Eid –E Fitr.

This was made known by the minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau in a statement issued by M. Umar the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.

Dambazau said that the government’s desire is for Nigerians to be inspired by the virtues gained during the month of Ramadan to live a life of sacrifice, charity and love for one another.

The Minister wished all Nigerians a happy, peaceful and rewarding Eid-El Fitr celebration.
