Tottenham have crashed out of the Champions League after they lost 4-3 on aggregate to Juventus. Juventus came from a goal behind to beat Tottenham 2-1 at the Wembley Stadium of Wednesday night to proceed to the Quarter Final. Tottenham went into the game bearing in mind that a clean sheet would take them further, especially because they had already played 2-2 in Juventus home ground, however, they slipped away one goal lead through Son Heung-Min to let a quickfire double from Higuain and Dybala bring an end to their campaign.
In other game, Man City lost 1-2 at home to Basel whom they already had four goal advantage over. In a much changed squad, City had Gabriel Jesus who recently came back from a long term injury spearhead their attack and soon paid off after it took just eight minutes for the Brazilian to make an impact scoring an opener. However, the lead could not last longer than another eight minutes before Basel responded. Lang got a winner for Basel 20 minutes from final whistle but that was not enough to take the Swiss club any further.
