Man United came from a goal down to beat Juventus 2-1 in Turin to save their chances of qualifying to the next phase of the competition.
Juventus were the better side as they dominated the English team but mother luck shone on United, leaving it late before claiming victory in Italy.
Former Man United hero, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a stunning volley early in the second half to put Juventus in front. It could have been worse for Man United as Juventus came close many times but were either denied by the woodwork or United’s goalkeeper, David De Gea.
United equalized through a Mata’s sublime free-kick with five minutes left on the regulation time. Moments later, United got a winner from an own goal following another free kick from Ashley Young.
