Hazard showed his worth as a World Class player as he turn on Liverpool defence to score the winner in a Carabao Cup tie at Anfield. Chelsea have dumped Liverpool out of the Carabao Cup after beating them 1-2 at Anfield on Wednesday night.

It was an evenly contested encounter between the two teams as they both fielded weaker starting lineups. Salah and Hazard were on the bench but were later called up to rescue their teams at different times.

Liverpool had the most possession and chances as Sturridge finally broke the duck with a superb scissors kick after Chelsea keeper, Caballero paried a Mane’s swinging shot early in the second half. Chelsea responded moments later with Emerson tapping in from a close range following a rebound from a set-piece.

Hazard who replaced Willian early in the second half even before Liverpool’s first goal finally turned up, combining well with Moses, before beating Moreno to blast the ball past Mignolet.

Chelsea are poised to host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League this weekend.
