A lecture on ENG118 was supposed to hold on the 16th of May, but on getting to the venue, the Unilorin lecturer met with an empty class!
How is that possible?
Apparently most 100L students of the department of English, Unilorin went on the first-semester break. Some of the students who had resumed school since December 2017, didn’t go home for the 3 days Easter break.
After first semester exams, which was concluded on the 8th of May (and 11th for some other departments), the second semester was scheduled to commence by May 14th, with lectures going into full swing by May 21st, 2018.
For students who are homesick (talk about 5 whole months in a strange land!), it’s frustrating and “they cannot coman die.” Hence, the self-extended break.
Lol. Students will always be students.
The Unilorin lecturer wrote a question which was supposed to serve as a test in THAT CLASS on the board and left not looking pleased.
What point was he trying to make with this?
Only God knows what the future holds for ENG 118 students on resumption.
