The provisional squad led by Mikel Obi is composed of few known foreign based players such as Victor Moses, Iheanacho, Iwobi, Onazi, Ndidi, Ahmed Musa etc. Squad to be trimmed down by 23rd, the players mentioned above are expected to make the final list. The past friendlies have shown some signs of promise from the Super Eagles, but they will need utmost concentration and drive to win if they are to go far in the competition
The debate over foreign and indigenous coach seem to have reached a final consensus with Grenot Rohr in charge to take the Super Eagles to Russia. Rohr early days with the Super Eagles looks promising, having guided the Super Eagles to qualify for the World Cup in Russia.
