Leaked pictures claim to demonstrate iPhone X Plus and 6.1-inch LCD iPhone sham units*
As we inch nearer to September’s arrival of new iPhone models, we keep on learning more about what Apple has in store. Today, Twitter leaker Ben Geskin has shared pictures of what he claims to be sham units of the 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus and the 6.1-inch LCD models. Comparable pictures have likewise risen on Slash Leaks.
These images don’t show much that we didn’t already know about this year’s new iPhone. As you can see, the 6.1-inch model features a single rear camera, whereas the iPhone X Plus uses a dual-camera layout similar to that of the iPhone X.
Furthermore, the iPhone X Plus is said to feature a stainless steel frame, while the 6.1-inch model will feature aluminium as a cost-saving measure. As you can see here in these images, the 6.1-inch model also seems to feature slightly larger bezels than the iPhone X Plus.
These two images show the iPhone X Plus in silver and the 6.1-inch model in space grey. This year’s iPhone refresh is expected to bring a new gold colour option to the iPhone X and iPhone X Plus, while the 6.1-inch LCD model is expected to be available in a slew of colours, including yellow, orange, blue, and more. These images likely came from supply chain sources in China and are almost certainly based on leaked schematics.
