It no news that Ekiti state gubernatorial election is scheduled to hold by July 14 2018, and that the parties have started conducting their primary elections, Ekiti state APC primaries was held on may 5 2018 and it was disrupted.

That’s the whole background of the story, which is now getting interesting because party members (maybe not all), are saying they are not sure of the loyalty of Chief Jide Awe, the Ekiti state APC Party Chairman and the Party Spokesman Hon. Taiwo olatunbosun.

According to the aggrieved members, they said the two are conniving with Governor Fayose to make sure the election does not favour APC.

Well to cut the long story short, the placards (some bearing; “Jide Awe and His Gang Masterminded Primary Disruption “We Have Lost Confidence in Jide Awe,” “Jide Awe in Shady Business With Fayose,” “No To Consensus Candidate,” “Treacherous Aspirants, Leave Our Party For Us,”) were not enough so they decided to use Juju (a combination of palm-oil and egg), to make a statement.

This same people dissolved the state working committee, and immediately set up a caretaker committee headed by Ekiti state APC Chairman in Ise/Orun Council, Mr Michael Eegunjobi.

The coordinator of this group and action stated that they did all this for the good of the party, and they are sure the party chairman and some people are working with ekiti state Governor Fayose.

When the coordinator was asked if the action was legal, the coordinator replied, and said anyone can set up the committee for the Ekiti state APC primary election as long as the members support it.

A lot of drama is still coming on the way.
