It is a black Sunday in the Nigerian Campus scene as popular and well loved final year student of Lead City University, Daniel Ilesanmi popularly known as Smade died a few minutes after predicting his death to his friend.

He was reportedly driving along challenge road in Ibadan when the ugly incident happened. He sent his friend a WhatsApp message “This car wan kill me o” and shortly after he lost control of the speeding vehicle.

His car reportedly somersaulted, hit a NEPA poll and crashed into a black SUV which reduced it to scraps. He died with a friend who is yet to be identified.

He had just completed his final year exams and project and was recently awarded “MultiMedia Practitioner of the year” at the Lead City University awards. He was a young hustler who was a fast-rising wedding and portrait photographer.

Perhaps the saddest thing about his death is that the car which he died in was bought by him three weeks ago.

May his soul rest in peace.
