Man United will kick off their Premier League campaign against Leicester City today and while they failed to land any of their top targets before the transfer window closes in England, Mourinho has declared that he is happy with the current squad and that they are fully ready for the new season.
Man United spent close to £75m in bringing Brazilian midfielder, Fred, Portuguese young right full back, Dalot and a back up goalkeeper, Grant to Old Trafford. Although, Mourinho clamoured for at least a good centre back to push for title this season and despite being linked with a host of defenders, no player was signed.
This is the manager’s third season at the club and the team’s performance in major competition could defined the Portuguese future. Man United have failed to win the league since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013 and a title push could be the minimum requirements to make Mourinho stay.
