Egypt international Mohammed Salah has won the 2017 Caf African Player of the Year award.
The 25 year old won the award for the first time beating the likes of his follow Liverpool team mate Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the awards ceremony in Accra.
Salah made incredible performance for both club and country in the year 2017.The super star helped As Roma qualify for champions league football and also for Liverpool in 2017 as he scored 17 goals in 21 games after joining the English Premier League side from AS Roma.
He also helped Egypt to a second place finish at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, including goals against Ghana and Burkina Faso. His brace against Congo in October helped the Pharaoh qualify for their first Fifa World Cup since 1990 to round off a sensational year.
