Herdsmen Killings! Presidency Comparing Present Administration with Past Raised Major Concerns
Amidst tension of killings by the Fulani herdsmen in the middle belt and clamour by the people for the federal government to do something, the presidency has finally reacted, and in a shocking manner. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina has said that the Fulani Herdsmen killings under former President Goodluck Jonathan is an indicator that President Muhammad Buhari is not enabling the killers.
He alleged that there were close to 800 people being killed by same sects during Jonathan’s administration. This assertion has raised major concerns among Nigerians as to if the government serves people’s interest at all. The people in Benue had expected the federal government to take a drastic decision in stopping the incessant killings and ensuring that lives and properties are secured. But the latest statement by Femi Adeshina has made the people think otherwise and resolves in making a vital leadership selection decision come 2019.
