Manchester City lifted the Premier League curtain raiser tagged the Community Shield after Aguero scored a double to help his team lift the title in a 2-0 win over last season’s FA Cup winner, Chelsea.
Chelsea were without some key players including Eden Hazard, Kante and Courtouis, while City were also without star players in De Bruyne and David Silva. In the absence of Eden Hazard, new manager, Sarri handed a competitive debut to highly rated youngster, Hudson Odoi, who although impressed but could not prevent his team from losing. Former, Leicester City star, Mahrez also made an impressive debut for Man City, playing a key role in Aguero’s opener
Aguero was too much for Chelsea defence to handle, terrorizing them, left, right and center. He could have scored more than two goals but one of his efforts hit the word work after rounding off goalkeeper Caballero.
The result might have sent an early sign of warning to Chelsea new manager, Sarri who had his first match in an English competition
